1º.- Clean the suitcase
We recommend using alcohol to clean the suitcases. Before painting, it is necessary to remove dust and dirt so that the paint can adhere distribute evenly. Then we will cover the area that we want to protect with adhesive tape and protective paper.
2º.- Apply the primer
The step is essential to obtain a good grip of the next layer of paint. Further to paint a plastic suitcase it is ideal to apply the primer for plastics Pintyplus Tech. This primer also has the advantage that it dries in just 15 minutes so you can apply the finish paint almost immediately.
3º.- Give color
The next step will be to paint in order to give color to the suitcase. For this, Itziar has used different colors from the Pintyplus Evolution range spray paints in a random way. In this way a nice camouflage effect is achieved. On the other hand, we must have in mind that Pintyplus Evolution acrylic paint has an ultra-fast drying of only 15 minutes. This advantage is a great time saving when it comes customizing our suitcase.
4º.- Place the stencil templates
If you doubt it, this will be the step that will best help us to customize the suitcase. Here, Itziar chose stencil with tropical leaves. You can create custom stencils using paper or also you can buy one.
To fix the stencils and prevent from moving it, the best is to apply a layer from the Pintyplus removable adhesive spray. It is very easy to apply and, as the name says, after applying it, you can easily remove the stencil and surprisingly leaves no traces.
5º.- Painting the stencils
The last step will be to apply the last layer of spray paint on the stencil. This way when you remove them, you can create a beautiful decoration of multicolored tropical leaves. Itziar has used the color white to highlight the leaves, obtaining a spectacular result. Once the entire suitcase is painted, it will only be necessary to remove the stencils.
