DIY pencil holder with wool pompoms and spray paint for the desk
Do you want to have a different desk? With this idea to make own DIY pencil with wool pompoms, will get them quickly and easily. In addition, will only need recycled materials and our spray paints.

Materials needed for the DIY pencil:
- Various colors of Pintyplus Evolution acrylic spray paint
- Pencils -new or old
- Large tin can
- Wool to make the pompoms
- Gun and thermo-fusible glue
Step by step to make a DIY pencil:
There is nothing easier than making a pencil taking advantage of any tin can use. Can used the pencils you have at home, as will see below.
Step 1: paint the pencils
Choose a pair of Pintyplus Evolution colors that combine or contrast each other. This range has more than 50 colors, so it is possible to make many combinations. In this case, red and yellow have been chosen.
Next, will paint the pencils completely. You can rest the yolk on the tip of the pencil to hold it upright. Once the rest of the pencil has dried, the area where it was held is painted.
Step 2: paint the tin can
At the time of painting the tin can will should keep in mind the following:
- Remove all labels and remnants of adhesive you may have.
- It is very important don´t leave sharp edges to avoid cutting yourself. To do this, sand the inside edges of the tin can.
- Clean with soap and water or directly with alcohol and dry.
The next step is to apply the spray paint. To do this, shake the container for one minute. Next, apply the painting maintaining a distance of about 25 cm.
In this particular case, the red 3020 of Pintyplus Evolution has been used, which has a very pure tone that attracts a lot of attention.
Step 3: make wool pompoms

Step 4: join the pompoms to the pencils
Once will have the wool pom poms, will just have to stick them to the end of each of the pencils with a little hot melt adhesive.
