What you will need when painting the wardrobe:
- PintyPlus HOME, water-based paint spray
- Pintyplus varnish in spray for chalk paint
- Cover foil
- Screwdriver
- Old wardrobe
Step 1:
Remove the handles from the wardrobe. This can usually be done easily with a screwdriver.
Step 2:
Clean the surface to be completely free of grease and dust. Use an alcoholic cleaner. This is a very important step, because if oily, greasy dirt remains on the surface (even not visible to the naked eye), the paint will not adhere properly and may even stain the paint.
Step 3:
The cleaned surface is painted with PintyPlus HOME water-based paint spray. We chose this paint because it is low pressure, so it can be painted with much less side scatter than normal paint spray and because it is water-based, it is almost completely odorless. And what is very important is that it covers in one layer.
Step 4:
The corners of the wardrobe that we will not want to paint we have to cover with paper tape.
Step 5:
This step is optional, but for durability, the surface can be made more durable with a coat of varnish after drying. It is important to choose the varnish properly, preferably not to mix different brands.
After varnishing, we can use the wardrobe:
