We are at the gates of summer and we will all make life abroad. Whether in our garden, patio, terrace, or balcony. The time has come for the maintenance of our objects and surfaces exposed to inclement weather.
In this post, we are going to show you how to paint a plastic bench for your garden with spray paint so that it is perfect and durable. It only takes a little time and a few cans of Pintyplus spray.

Material for painting a plastic bench with spray paint

• Pintyplus Surface Cleaner
• Pintyplus Tech Plastic Primer
• Pintyplus Evolution Acrylic Spray Paint
• Pintuplus Evolution Acrylic Spray Varnish

1st Step: Clean the surface

We never tire of indicating that it is essential to prepare the surface to be painted well before starting the project. With Pintyplus Surface Cleaner 100% Isopropyl Alcohol we will have it done in a few minutes. Its rapid evaporation will save us drying times. It involves spraying the surface with the product and wiping it with a cloth or cloth to remove the dirt that our cleaner has removed so quickly.

2nd Step:

2nd Step: Prime the plastic surface with spray

There are many types of plastic and each has its peculiarities. We are usually going to paint hard plastics. What is common to all of them is that they are materials with minimal porosity. This means that it will be difficult to achieve adhesion of the paint if we do not first apply a primer to help us achieve adhesion.

Pintyplus Tech Spray Primer for Plastics achieves this. It is colorless and dries in 15 minutes. From that moment on, we can paint over it with the assurance that the paint will adhere correctly and we will not have sags or imperfections.
We will apply in thin layers, spraying about 30cms away. And we will let it dry for 15 minutes.

Step 3: Paint with spray paint on plastic

We are already prepared to undertake our project. In this case, we are going to paint with Pintyplus Evolution Acrylic Spray Paint. We have chosen the RAL 1001 Beige color, which contrasts with the original color of the bench. We are going to disassemble the area of the bench where we will sit so that that original gray contrasts with the beige.
To paint we are going to shake the spray energetically so that the paint mixes well. Afterward, we will spray about 25cms away. It is advisable to do it in thin and uniform layers, without depositing a lot of paint at a specific point. We will make light passes horizontally and then vertically or vice versa. We will quickly realize that it is very easy to paint with Pintyplus Evolution acrylic spray paint. Among other things because it covers the first time and does not pick up.
Once we have painted the bench, we will let it dry for 15 minutes.

4th step: apply Pintyplus Evolution matte acrylic spray varnish

As the bench is going to be outdoors and we are going to give it a lot of use during the summer season, it is advisable to varnish it to ensure resistance and protection. Varnish does not differ too much from paint in the application. We are going to spray at a distance of about 25cms after shaking the spray well.

We are going to apply thin layers in quick passes, vertically and horizontally. In this way we will avoid product accumulation and subsequent sagging.
